Lindsay Lohan's N.Y. court date delayed
Posted January 7, 2013
Lindsay Lohan had a court date in New York today, stemming from a nightclub fight in November.
Her lawyer, Mark Jay Heller, showed up, but Lohan did not (and she didn't have to, he said).
Speaking to reporters after signing paperwork at the courthouse Monday, Heller predicted the charges would eventually be dropped, reports AP.
At the time of her arrest, Heller said Lohan was "a victim of someone trying to capture their 15 minutes of fame."
Office of Court Administration spokesman David Bookstaver confirmed to AP that a criminal complaint has not been drawn up at this time. The district attorney's office said only that the investigation is continuing.
Lohan was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor assault in the Nov. 29 incident at the club Avenue, after being accused of slapping a woman in the face during an argument.
