Ben Affleck remains coy over possible Senate run

Ben Affleck has been active in Democratic Party politics for years. On Wednesday, he visited Washington to testify on security in Congo. But would the Academy Award-winning screenwriter, actor and director consider a full-time trade of Hollywood for Washington?
Boston-born Affleck's name was brought up earlier this week for a potential Senate run when talked turned to who might fill John Kerry's seat if Kerry becomes secretary of State, but would the actor consider it?
"One never knows. I'm not one to get into conjecture," Affleck said when Bob Schieffer, the host of CBS's Face The Nation, asked him just that on Wednesday in a taping for Sunday's show.
"I do have a great fondness and admiration for the political process in this country," said Affleck. "It's a big deal for me to come down here and be on your show that I've watched so much, but I'm not going to get into speculation about my political future."
